Meet the Band Directors


Ms. WilliamsMs. Anna Laura Williams joined the Siegel Middle School Band faculty in Fall 2017. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education degree (summa cum laude) from Middle Tennessee State University and Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership degree from Trevecca Nazarene University. She previously taught middle and high school band in Middle Tennessee and West Tennessee.

 

Anna Laura is currently a Curriculum Lead (Middle School Instrumental Music) in Rutherford County Schools. Under her direction, the Siegel Middle School Select Flute Ensemble was selected to perform two years (2018 and 2019) as a Spotlight Ensemble at the Tennessee Music Education Association's (TMEA) Annual Conference.

 

Anna Laura serves as the Communications Manager and Publications Managing Editor for the Tennessee Music Education Association (TMEA). She is also serving a second term as the Southern Division Representative on the National Association for Music Education's (NAfME) Music Honor Society Advisory Council.

 

Anna Laura was selected as a recipient of the CMA Foundation's 2019 Music Teachers of Excellence award. She received the 2023 TMEA Outstanding Young Music Educator of the Year Award. 
Mr. Ford
Mr. Jared Ford joined the Siegel Middle School Band faculty in March 2024.He graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education degree in December of 2023 from Middle Tennesse State University. During his time at MTSU, Jared featured in many different music groups including Jazz Ensembles I and II, MTSU jazz singers, Salsa band, flute choir, and the Band of Blue Marching band. He was given many leadership roles in these specific groups, with Pep Band student conductor and BoB Band manager to name a few.
 
His educational experiences outside of MTSU include working with Nolensville High School's marching band for a number of years, participating as a counselor at the Governor's School of the Arts for Tennessee on multiple occasions, and providing private instruction for several years on clarinet, flute, and saxophone through various schools and Music and Arts in Murfreesboro.
