This week we will continue to work on TCAP review for Argumentative Writing and formulating a well-reasoned thesis statement, body paragraphs with CECEs, RACES paragraphs, counterclaim, rebuttal, and a logical concluding paragraph.

 

8.RI. IKI.8 - Delineate and evaluate the argument and specific claims in a text, assessing whether evidence is relevant and sufficient to support the claims and the reasoning is sound. 

 

CAV Time - Students will continue to build time with their SSR (silent sustained reading) in preparation for TCAP. As they read, students will Beanstack to earn minutes for the competition among area RC middle schools for most minutes achieved.
