Hey Students! Do you like break time, movies, popcorn, and money??  If you do, you're in luck.  We have officially kicked off our first school-wide fundraiser:  Invest in your Cavalier.  This will be a donation drive where you will collect donations from family members and/or businesses.  You will have the opportunity to earn rewards and wristbands to the Cavalier Carnival and Siegel Sprint - two festivals that we have that offer lots of games and activities.  Make sure to listen closely to the announcements so you can learn how you can earn rewards and some cash of your own!!

If you are interested in joining yearbook, stop by P11 and get a form, then go to the yearbook page on Siegel Middle's website to apply.  If you have applied and not gotten the form, you must do that to be considered.  We're still needing representatives from 6th & 7th grades - all mini-schools!  Especially 6B & 7B.  Deadline is August 25th.

Mrs. Capshaw is looking for library workers and Tech Help Desk Crew members for this school year.  Library workers help in the library one period a day with shelving books, tidying the library, checking books in and out and other tasks needed.  Library workers must like to read, be friendly, polite, and helpful.  You will be fully trained but must be able to follow directions and work independently.

The Tech Help Desk is a new group of students that will help with basic troubleshooting for student laptops.  You will be fully trained, but must be comfortable with technology, as well as be friendly, and helpful.  You must also be independent and self-motivated.

Students in either of these groups can help during CAV time or Exploratory, must have good grades and no discipline issues.  You will also have to be approved by your teachers and Admin.

Applications for both groups can be found on the library website.  Go to the Siegel Middle website, click on "Academics" then "Library Media Center" and you will see links to the online application.  Contact Mrs. Capshaw if you have any questions.

Deadline to apply is next Wednesday August 23rd.
