All students will be taking TNReady tests for ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies beginning today, Tuesday, April 16. The TNReady testing schedule has been posted on our school website. Students will take ELA on April 16, 17 and 18, Science on April 22, Math on April 23 and 24, and Social Studies on April 25.
Attendance on the TNReady testing days is essential and very important. Please make arrangements to be present and on time for all testing days, as well as try to avoid making appointments for plans, that would require you to arrive late or check out early.
Students will be required to turn cell phones and smartwatches off and put them in a cell phone pouch during testing. This is a requirement to ensure cell phones and smartwatches do not cause a testing irregularity or a distraction during the tests.
Students will have an opportunity to earn tickets during testing for attendance and behavior. A drawing will be held each morning of testing to draw names to win candy. Students who receive all 7 behavior tickets will earn time outside on a specific day in May.
Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance along with Ascension Saint Thomas and Results Physiotherapy will be offering free pre-participation exams for prospective Rutherford County middle and high school student athletes on Saturday, May 4, 2024.
Exams will be at TOA, 1800 Medical Center Parkway in Murfreesboro. (Not at individual schools!)
Please have the correct form and all parent/guardian signatures filled out at the time of arrival. Athletes without completed and signed forms will not be eligible to receive an exam. Printers will not be available the day of physicals.
This will be the only opportunity for athletes to receive these exams-no make up will be done.
Athletes should dress in shorts/t-shirts to allow physicians to evaluate extremities as needed.
Parents are welcome to accompany their children throughout the entire process.
Exams will be complimentary.
Please note that some medical problems detected during physical exams may require clearance from the athlete's physician. Parents may wish to schedule a physical evaluation with their physician.
Each student is responsible for delivery of forms to their coaches-copies will not be available.
