Reading Intervention is a systematic, research-based class targeting each student's identified area of deficit. I work in a group of 5 for half of the class period, while the other half works in educational centers. Students work in the following centers: computer-based instruction, reading response, word work, and writing. Our RTI Educational Assistant works one to one with students who have the greatest deficits.
To improve reading comprehension and fluency.
To improve reading confidence.
To improve accountability in other class work.
I progress monitor students every two weeks using EasyCBM, which tracks student growth.
I use Moby Max data to monitor student growth on targeted deficits.
I compile anecdotal notes, which highlight my daily observations and insights into each student's growth.
